The following rules for logo use apply to all business.gov.au site pages:

  • The business.gov.au logo is displayed with the Commonwealth Coat of Arms (the Arms). The Arms and the logo are separated by a dividing line 1px thick. The Arms are always placed on the left of the business.gov.au logo.
  • The Arms and the business.gov.au logo should always be the same colour.
  • The Arms and business.gov.au logo must appear on all pages of the business.gov.au site in the top right corner. No other content should appear before the logo.
  • The Arms and business.gov.au logo should only appear ONCE on a page.
  • On small screens the Arms and logo are replaced with the text "business.gov.au". The text font is Open Sans Bold 700.

Use of the business.gov.au logo must always follow the Australian Government branding guidelines.

  • The Arms and the name should always be the same colour.

  • Reference to the business.gov.au brand is always included above The Arms and subsite name in the form of a bannerstrap that links to the business.gov.au site.
  • The Arms and the name should only appear ONCE on a page.

business.gov.au does not promote specific businesses or organisations. Logos other than the business.gov.au logo should not appear anywhere on the business.gov.au site.

Logos for Government programs are also not used on business.gov.au.

Referring to business.gov.au

When referring to business.gov.au in text the following rules apply:

  • business.gov.au always has a lower case "b" even when it is the first word in a sentence or title.
  • Abbreviations such as BGA should not be used. Always refer to the site as "business.gov.au".
